Why We Built This Site
Michigan releases a fair amount of warrant and case information, but no single office hands it over in one bundle. A judge issues the warrant and sets the terms. The clerk keeps the case file and the register of actions. The sheriff serves the order and can say whether it is still open. Splitting those jobs across three offices is normal. It is also where most people get stuck.
Oscoda County adds a wrinkle that surprises people. There are no city or village courts here, because there are no incorporated cities or villages. Traffic tickets, misdemeanors, and missed district dates belong to the 81st District Court, which also serves Alcona, Arenac, and Iosco counties. Felonies, family cases, and support enforcement belong to the 23rd Circuit Court. Probate matters go to the county probate court.
Then comes the state layer. Michigan's Law Enforcement Information Network carries warrant data, but only criminal justice agencies can query it. MiCOURT shows public case information and offers no warrant filter. A Michigan State Police criminal history check leaves warrant information out by design. Check two offices, find nothing, and it is easy to conclude you are clear. You may not be. We collect the phone numbers, request routes, and search steps for each office so the first call lands in the right place.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We hold no connection to any Michigan court, to the sheriff's office, or to a state agency. Several things people ask for are simply outside what we can do:
- We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists for any person
- We cannot recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or take a payment toward a warrant
- We cannot set up a court date or a surrender
- We cannot give legal advice about a specific case
- We cannot promise that every fee, phone number, or counter hour on this site is current today
Only the court that issued the warrant, or the sheriff's office that serves it, can confirm whether it exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. We can route you to that office. The answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes run by outside companies. Those providers set their own prices and operate their own services. When a visit through one of those tools turns into a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, and that revenue keeps this site free to read. We do not control what a partner charges, what its results contain, or how current its data is. A partner result is not an official warrant check.
